Digital Video Instructor
The Digital Video Instructor will be responsible for the development of curriculum and daily instruction of up to two levels of digital video classes. The class will consist of up to 16 students approximately 2 hours a day 3 days a week. Students are expected to work on independent and group projects as part of course completion that will be managed by the instructor. Skills taught should include but not be limited to some of the following: safe handling of equipment, video shooting, editing, storyboarding, proper saving and management of data, post-production and other skills associated with video production. All students should complete a project for the end of the program.
Qualified candidates must have :
- A Bachelor's Degree in Education, technology or related field;
- Two years experience working with youth;
- Strong computer skills (MS Office, Publisher, etc.),
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
- Should have extensive knowledge of iMovie, FinalCut Pro and AfterEffects;
- The ability to create lesson plans, to effectively keep order/manage a classroom;
- Develop relationships with students and parents.
- Additionally, if hired all candidates must submit to and receive satisfactory clearance of child abuse and criminal background checks.
Schedule : Tuesday - Thursday, 4pm - 6pm (6 hrs/week).
