Director of Human Resources

It is the main responsibility of the Director of Human Resources to manage all aspects of the pre-employment, employment and post employment processes. This includes the full recruitment process, staff management and dismissal of staff as needed. The Director of HR must also provide vehicles to assist managers in performing their jobs, including training on management and supervision topics. They are also the administrator of all Employee Benefits and Payroll. They manage, establish, and/or enhance Organizational HR Policies & Procedures, and programs related to compensation administration, recruitment, and employee relations.  This position is within the Senior Management Team with related responsibilities, including direct involvement developing organizational operating procedures and implementation of the Organization's Strategic Plan. The Director also provides oversight and supervision to the HR Staff (Recruiter, Payroll/Benefits Assistant, & Clerk).

 

Qualified candidates must have:

•  A Bachelors degree
•  A minimum of 10 years experience in a Senior Human Resources role, must include experience administering/coordinating payroll, benefits & compensation, employee relations and recruitment
•  A minimum of 3-5 years management experience
•  Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to question, resolve conflict, handle objections and respond to requests for information. Experience working with all levels of management and staff
•  Project management experience
•  Strong computer skills, including MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, and HRIS systems
•  Ability to work successfully in a fast-paced, results and deadline orientated environment
•  Strong organization skills
•  Non-profit experience a plus
•  A valid driver's license & transportation.

Location: 4133 Chestnut Street .   Schedule: Full-time core hours from 9am to 5pm Monday thru Friday (some flexibility required).
