Multimedia Instructor
The Multimedia Instructor will be responsible for the development of curriculum and daily instruction of up to two levels of web design/multimedia and web maintenance. The classes will consist of up to three groups of 20 students. Students are expected to work on independent or group projects as part of course completion that will be managed by the instructor. Skills taught should include but not be limited to the following: safe handling of equipment, animation, design, persuasive or creative writing, some graphic arts and layout, and some digital photography when appropriate. All students should complete a project for the end of the program. Instructor will also be responsible for developing and maintaining program web site as well. Qualified candidates must have a Bachelor's Degree in Education, technology or related field; 2 years experience working with youth; strong computer skills (MS Office, Publisher, etc.)and strong project management skills; excellent verbal and written communication skills; proficient in Studio MX, Photoshop, HTML, SQL, Javascript, Illustrator, and Quark; the ability to create lesson plans to effectively keep order/manage a classroom; and develop relationships with students and parents. P rogram Schedule: Candidate would be required to work 18 hours a week. Additionally, any candidate considered for this position must be able to satisfactorily complete criminal & child abuse check. Location: Honickman Learning Center/Comcast Technology Labs, 1936 N. Judson Street , Philadelphia , PA.
