Matching Grant Supports Greening of Project H.O.M.E.'s "Connelly House"
OCTOBER 8, 2009In July, Project H.O.M.E. and Bethesda Project broke ground on The Connelly House (previously referred to as the St. John the Evangelist House), which will provide 79 units of permanent affordable housing for formerly homeless men and women in Center City Philadelphia. In order to maximize energy and resource conservation, Project H.O.M.E. is embedding green design features wherever possible into the structure to make this a LEED-certified (“green”) building. One of our amazing donors has generously provided a $200,000 matching grant to cover the cost of these green design features. Therefore, we need green to be green!!! Please consider donating to the Connelly House Green Challenge. Every dollar you donate - up to $200,000 - will be matched by this generous anonymous donor. If you have questions, please contact Nicole Tell at 215-232-7272, ext. 3063, or nicoletell@projecthome.org. If you would like to donate to this fund, please indicate in a letter or on your check that it is for the “Connelly House Green Challenge.”
