Dentures and Partial Dentures
Dentures are a replacement for missing teeth that can be removed and placed back into your mouth. Full dentures are used when all of the natural teeth are missing or removed from the mouth. They are fabricated after all the teeth are removed and the gum tissue is given time to heal.
For patients that worry about walking around without teeth while their gums are healing, we may be able to fabricate immediate dentures. These dentures will be placed as soon as your teeth are extracted so that you don’t have to spend any time without teeth. They will need to be tightened after the jaw bone has healed though, and in time, you may need to have another set of dentures made. Partial dentures are an option when not all of your teeth need to be removed. They can replace one tooth, or a number of missing teeth.
