Poverty Must Be An Issue in This Election Year
“Will anything of the lofty speechmaking and party platforms from inside the convention halls truly address the wrenching struggles of poor, hungry, and homeless Americans, in Philadelphia and throughout the nation?”
-- Sister Mary Scullion, Philadelphia Inquirer, July 17, 2016
Project HOME is working with many of our local and national partners to make sure that the struggles of millions of Americans who are experiencing hunger, homelessness, and poverty are on the agenda during this critical election year.
With the Democratic National Convention here in Philadelphia, we must seize the opportunity to raise the voices of those on the margins and call on our candidates, voters, and national leaders to commit to working for real solutions.
