The Helen Brown Community Center at St. Elizabeth’s (HBCC) has a rich history of community engagement. Ms. Helen Brown, Project HOME’s Community Organizer for over 20 years and resident of the St. Elizabeth’s neighborhood, was a remarkable leader in the community as a neighborhood activist and change agent. It is in Ms. Helen’s honor that we keep her memory alive by working to keep our neighborhoods vibrant and safe while making our homes and communities open to all through our warmth, friendships, and love.

In addition to its work in organizing and empowering the community, HBCC houses the offices of several Project HOME departments including the Real Estate Development and Asset Management team, VP of Healthcare Services, and the CFO of Project HOME. The Helen Brown Community Center at St. Elizabeth’s is used as a community meeting space where the St. Elizabeth’s RCO, block captains, and other community organizations gather to conduct community related business.
