Over 750 people from across Pennsylvania signed a letter urging Governor-elect Tom Wolf to uphold his commitments in the Vote for Homes Voter's Guide for affordable housing, jobs, and services and to show leadership on these critical issues.

Please join the Vote for Homes! Coalition in thanking Pennsylvania Governor-Elect Tom Wolf for his commitments to housing, jobs, and services in our 2014 Voter’s Guide. (To see the Governor’s full responses to our Voter’s Guide questionnaire click here.)

We look forward to working together with Governor-Elect Wolf, his transition team, and his Administration in the fight to end homelessness!

The Philadelphia Homeless Memorial Day Planning Committee is reaching out to you to help gather the names of the women, men, and children that died in our community in 2014 (and since last year’s remembrance on 12/19/13). This year’s Homeless Memorial Day will take place on Thursday, December 18th. We hope you will join us.

Vote for Homes! is a nonpartisan coalition mobilizing thousands of Philadelphians who are living on low incomes, including those who are homeless, formerly homeless, living with disabilities, or are formerly incarcerated.

Every little bit counts to help Vote for Homes! mobilize voters.

With your help, we can continue to meet our collective goals:

Join Vote for Homes in our ongoing effort to mobilize voters by learning about how to support the voting rights of people who are low-income, homeless, living with disabilities, or formerly incarcerated.
We hosted three voter mobilization training sessions for the November Election at Project HOME, 1515 Fairmount Ave., Philadelphia 19130.
Fund the Fund
The 2013-14 Pennsylvania legislative session ends on November 30, but the House and Senate are leaving on October 15 with unfinished business.  Our state elected officials are leaving Harrisburg without funding the Housing Trust Fund.
Email your senator and representative TODAY to express your disappointment and dismay that they are leaving Harrisburg without funding the Pennsylvania Housing Trust Fund.
WE DID IT! Health care coverage will now be available for over 600,000 uninsured Pennsylvanians thanks to your efforts!
In the late summer, the Federal Government approved a revised version of Healthy PA. They took our comments into consideration and ended up adopting more than 80% of them!

The Vote for Homes! Coalition created a nonpartisan Voters Guide for the 2014 Pennsylvania Governors race which was published in the September issue of One Step Away. Pennsylvania's gubernatorial candidates, Tom Corbett and Tom Wolf, were asked to provide 75-word answers to our questions regarding critical issues: Ending Homelessness, Affordable Housing, Economic Recovery & Jobs, General Assistance, Prison Release & Homelessness, and Health Care. The candidates full responses can be view below.
