The HOME Spun Boutique has Reopened

Welcome back HOME!

HOME Spun is now open for customers, with safety measures in place.

We have been shuttered since Philadelphia’s mandatory closure of non-essential businesses. Now that the order has been lifted, your favorite boutique is open for business at 1523 Fairmount Avenue.

“It was important for us to take our time to make sure that our community of residents, employees, and customers can get back to shopping in a safe and healthy environment,” said Nic Watson, director of our Social Enterprise Program.

In many ways, we are in the same difficult position as many small businesses in Philadelphia and around the world. But, adding to that, we serve a very specific mission at Project HOME and the health of our community is a key part of that.

But now it’s time to welcome everyone back in. Safely, of course.

“I've gotten text messages from almost all of our regulars. This is a great outpouring of support; a real testament to the power of ‘We.’ I can’t wait to get back and see our customers every day,” said David Brown, senior sales associate.

HOME Spun will be open from 11:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Monday through Saturday starting July 20th, 2020.

To keep our community strong, we’ll need to stick together to follow some new rules: masks will be required for both staff and customers while in the store, we can allow only three customers in the store at a time, and hand sanitizer will be available and its use encouraged.  We’re also not opening the dressing room at this time, but we will be liberal with returns! We will also quarantine all donated and returned items before making them available for purchase.

We are so thankful to our customers and donors, without whom our work to provide employment opportunities to the folks who need them most would not be possible. You are the best and we know that we can count on you to help us make this a healthy and fun reopening!

See you soon.
