The Philadelphia Foundation

A round up of the television news coverage of our partnership with The Philadelphia Foundation.

From CBS Philly:

A Philadelphia nonprofit has announced seed funding for a new project that would provide LGBT-friendly housing exclusively for homeless youth. It would be a first for Pennsylvania.

Here’s how Nasir Fears describes his teenage years in Philadelphia.

From Newsworks

Nasir Fears first told his grandmother he was gay when he was 14-years old. She didn't throw him out, but she made it clear she didn't accept his sexuality.

"And I had left," he said. "And it was like ok, just do... whatever. Like, nobody actually really cared."

Fears spent years sleeping on the subway and house-hopping.
