Project HOME the recipient of hundreds of donated turkeys from ACME, The Justi Group, Fresh Direct, The Honickman Foundation, and The Do-Gooders

PHILADELPHIA, November 17, 2016 – Several hundred families in need will be assured a full Thanksgiving dinner thanks to the donation of 600 turkey dinners by area businesses and organizations including: ACME, The Justi Group, Fresh Direct, The Haverford School, The Honickman Foundation, and The Do-Gooders.

 

PHILADELPHIA, March 16, 2015 -- Project HOME today holds an official grand opening and dedication of its newest center: the Stephen Klein Wellness Center (SKWC), an architecturally magnificent 28,600-square-foot Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC)*.   The center is located at 21st and Cecil B. Moore Avenues, the second-poorest zip code in Philadelphia and a federally-designated Medically Underserved Area (MUA)**.   Residents in this region experience unemployment at twice the city’s average rate.

PHILADELPHIA, January 19, 2015 – Project HOME, in cooperation with Digital Diaspora Family Reunion (DDFR,) will present a special celebration event for Black History Month featuring ‘Philly Treasures’ at the Honickman Learning Center and Comcast Technology Labs (HLCCTL), on Wednesday, February 4, from 6 pm to 8 pm, to recognize the people who have made and continue to make Philadelphia the unique cultural community that it is. Community members of all ages are invited to participate by bringing favorite family photographs and their stories to share with the audience.
