For over 35 years, we’ve centered our work on the strength of a simple conviction: we can solve homelessness in our lifetimes, and it takes all of us. Project HOME’s model (Housing, Opportunities for Employment, Medical Care, and Education) is now considered a blueprint. Practices like coordinated, 24/7/365 street outreach, which began here, are now adopted across the country.

We know Philadelphia can be the first city to end chronic street homelessness, but we can’t do it alone. It takes all of us. My own journey to Project HOME started years ago, when I found an affordable suit at the HOMESpun Boutique that helped me prepare for law school. That moment of empowerment became part of a larger story – one that brought me back to lead this remarkable community last year.
