The spark has been struck. Go Project HOME!
Last night, more than 400 advocates, leaders, and friends gathered for Bring Philly HOME, presented by Penn Medicine and hosted by the Rising Leaders Committee. Thanks to your generosity, compassion, and commitment, we exceeded our fundraising goal, raising critical resources that will help create pathways to housing, healthcare, opportunity, and stability for our neighbors experiencing homelessness.
Throughout the evening, we were reminded of a simple but powerful truth: homelessness is solvable.
As Project HOME President and CEO Donna Bullock shared, lasting change happens when people come together with urgency, creativity, and care. It takes healthcare leaders, public officials, advocates, volunteers, philanthropists, and community members working side by side to build a Philadelphia where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.
Most importantly, it takes people like you.
The highlight of the evening was the presentation of the SPARK (Service, Partnership, and Radical Kindness) Award to Morris Williams. Through his extraordinary generosity, humility, and partnership, Morris has helped expand housing, opportunity, and hope for countless Philadelphians. His example reminds us that meaningful change is possible when we lead with compassion, put mission before recognition, and work together in service of something greater than ourselves.
We were also deeply moved by Andreia, a resident at Ruth Williams House at the Gene and Marlene Epstein Building who shared a moving, personal story that underscored that permanent supportive housing provides stability, healing, community, and the opportunity to build a brighter future.
Because of supporters like you, Philadelphians on their journey HOME will experience that same transformation. As Morris shared in his closing remarks:
"The spark is ignited. Project HOME is moving forward. Together we can advance the mission to house the homeless."
Thank you for believing in that mission and for helping move us one step closer to ending chronic street homelessness in Philadelphia. Together, we are proving that when a community comes together with vision, compassion, and commitment, lasting change is possible.
We are bringing Philly HOME—together.
Go Project HOME!,
