In This Together: Your Leadership Matters

Project HOME CEO Donna Bullock and Senior Manager for Outreach Rachel Beilgard talk to a woman sitting in a park.

Imagine the first night in your own bed. A home-cooked meal in your own kitchen. A knock at the door to welcome a friend into your very own apartment.

These are the quiet, powerful milestones you make possible. Your leadership and generosity create moments across the Project HOME community that lead to dignity, opportunity, and a path HOME.

Right now, thousands of our neighbors in Philadelphia are still waiting for that same turning point that permanent supportive housing provides.

On a single night in 2025, more than 1,000 people were living unsheltered, and over 4,000 were staying in emergency shelters across Philadelphia.

And while the need is real, tangible, and present, so is your opportunity to make a lasting impact with Project HOME.

You Make the Difference

Because of you:

  • Someone is unlocking the door to their new apartment and the stability and services of permanent supportive housing.
  • A parent is starting a new job with competitive wages.
  • A student is stepping onto a college campus with vital scholarship funds.
  • A senior is receiving access to quality medical care.

As Rachel Beilgard, Senior Manager for Outreach at Project HOME, shares:

“The relationships with the people we meet are so important,” Rachel shares. “We work together to find a way forward, supporting them in each step of their journey toward permanent supportive housing.”

Michael’s Story: Powered by the Community You Make Possible

Today, Michael* has a place to call his home.

For years, that wasn’t the case. He experienced homelessness throughout his entire adult life, relying on Project HOME as one of the few places he could consistently turn to for support.

When he moved into his apartment, a “Welcome HOME” basket was waiting. It was filled with bed sheets, towels, cleaning supplies, and ingredients for his first home-cooked meal.

Something small, but deeply personal was also waiting for him: a pair of new hair clippers.

The kind of everyday item that quietly says, “you’re HOME now.”

Rachel remembers the smile on his face when she saw that first haircut and knew what it meant.

That moment happened because someone like you chose to give. What Your Leadership Inspires

Your generosity:

  • Delivers supportive services that help residents permanently exit homelessness and thrive.
  • Increases access to adult education, job training, and K-12 after-school and college access programs at Honickman Learning Center Comcast Technology Labs to help prevent homelessness and provide pathways to employment.
  • Expands critical healthcare and wellness services including primary care, behavioral health support, dental care, and preventative wellness at Stephen Klein Wellness Center, through our Epstein Street Medicine Program and at the Hub of Hope.
  • Accelerates community and advocacy efforts that address the root causes of chronic street homelessness in Philadelphia.

Your kindness and compassion fuel all of it.
