Our Real Estate Development and Asset Management team, led by SVP Janet Stearns, was recognized by ULI Philadelphia for their work developing Inn of Amazing Mercy, our supportive residence in Kensington.

From ULI:

"An extensive renovation introduced contemporary residential architecture while preserving historic details such as original fireplaces. Using a single original window found as a model, the mismatched aluminum windows were replaced with historic replicas. Exterior brick was cleaned and repointed; the entrance and fencing were restored; and a new paved courtyard and landscaping welcome residents and guests. Shared kitchen, dining, and gathering spaces are included on every floor to give residents a feeling of community. Efficient utilities minimize energy expenses. The revival of the historic property creates a clean, safe environment for residents to thrive."

Inn of Amazing Mercy is is a recovery residence for 62 individuals experiencing homelessness who want to begin their recovery journey directly from the street or after being discharged from in-patient recovery programs. There are 50 units of recovery-focused permanent supportive housing and supplementary services for up to 12 persons with substance use disorder in four efficiency units and eight respite beds.
